I bought my first camper van in 2009 and started this blog to share what I’ve learned since then.
When I’m traveling in my camper van, I’ve usually got my family in tow – that’s a total of 3 adults (my parents and myself) and a dog (my working cocker, Barley).
We generally favour wild camping and my heart sings when surrounded by rolling green hills, lakes, mountains and trees.
We live in England and enjoy day trips, weekend breaks and longer road trips of 2 to 4 weeks, both in the UK and Europe.
MY FIRST CAMPER VAN, CHAMPERS…
Champers was a medium wheelbase Ford Transit van. She was professionally converted into a 4-berth camper van by Sunseeker. We loved her dearly but sadly she eventually succumbed to rust, as so many Ford Transit vans do.
AND MY CURRENT CAMPER VAN, DORA…
In a previous life, Dora was an ambulance. She is a long wheelbase Renault Master van who was converted into a camper van by her previous owner.
